Comic #120-121 : Kalankito Chora from Ranjan's Classics & A Story from 1996 Betty & Veronica SPECTACULAR

1980's was a period when a number of Bengali comic-series were introduced with the reader, majorly translated version of Western comics, and few were local creation! Majority of the series were promising but short-lived,and one of those was Ranjan's Classics. I have only 3 of this series(No.1,2 & 3) so have no idea about how many issues were released before the cancellation!
Anyway,'Kalankito Chora' is a decent read supported by quality art, was translated by Sriavi Ashoke, but there is no mention of the original artist and script-writer.

Other than Ranjan's Comics, some other notable Bengali comic-series I have came across from '80s are as follows(there were parallel Eng version of some of these series as well) :
  • Viswa Sahitya Chitrakatha
  • Avik Chitrakatha
  • Super Comics
  • War Comics
  • Viswa Sahitya Comics
  • Chitrakalpo Katha (I don't have this series, have only an ad page but much similar with VSC)
  • Chandmama Comic & Classics
  • Chitrarath Comics (they tried to copy Indrajal's format-of-presentation but the quality of the art was pretty substandard)
  • Tin-murtir Avijan
  • Tinkle
  • Golden comic
  • Modern Chitrakatha
  • Hasir Comics
  • 3D Comics
There were few more but I don't have comics from these series right now..

Posting few selected covers from each of the above-mentioned series :

------------------------
Next is from a completely different genre. A space-travel story  - Virtual Unreality from the Betty & Veronica SPECTACULAR series, published on Apr'96(No.18).As expected you will get a fun-filled adventure which any Archie fan will enjoy for sure....

Comic #37:Cheryl Blossom (ARCHIE):The Beach Blanket Blossom(1995)

Hello dudes! After that cover-post ,here is one freshly scanned exciting yet fun-filled adventure from Archie comics starring CHERYL BLOSSOM! :-) It was due to her presence,Archie comics got tremendous success in the '80s but after some years Cheryl was 'banned' due to the explicit scenes/dialogues(!) & in expert's version "too much sensual effect for teenagers(for American teens!!;-)".
But even after all these,Cheryl made a come back on '94,after a remarkable demands from fans! :-) By the way,Cheryl has a twin brother, Jason, an arrogant rival of Archie and suitor of Betty. Jason is smitten with Betty, despite claiming that he only dates rich girls.
This one(Beach Blanket Blossom) is from '95 where Archie & Cheryl were engaged in naughty beach-fun but ouch!! Veronica saw them and then.... ;-)
READ IT BY YOUR SELF and let me know whether you loved this...ENJOY!! :-)

NOW,enjoy some rare & vintage Diamond Mandrake covers, most of which having Post-Ijc strips(1990-95)!Comics will be scanned in due course of time!:-)

At last I got these: 'Cheryl Blossom' comics(ARCHIE) and TIMPA's Own Comic Books!

Hi friends, there's a good news for all Archie comic lovers! After several searches, ultimately I have my hands on some 'special' Archie comics from one old-book-shop today, it was one of those rare visits. :-))

I'm talking about the red-haired girl in that crazy teenager's life who, being a very-late-entry(introduced in 1982), even able to challenge the two other inherent female characters in this comic-series....Betty n Veronica!
You can read more about her at wiki.

I got three comics published between 1995-1997 along with another 'Archie and his pals'.

*The most exciting one is the story titled 'Beach Blanket Blossom'(four parts in one book;1995)....it's really exciting to see those three girls engaged in a water-fight !

Also, today I am amazed to find TIMPA's own comic-books(English)!!...those were published way back on 1986 by Pars Publication. The page quality was very good, almost like Tin Tin/Lucky Luke series...

wow! at last we can read Timpa comics in original form :-))

As I have mentioned earlier in my post on Timpa that there were 36 stories published at Indrajal Comics(1988-89), but these are NOT published in Indrajals and actually before Timpa was introduced there.

The THREE comics I got today are from 1986, published by Paras Publication.

[1]Legacy of the gods
[2]The red-hooded gang
& [3]Operation rescue
All are 30+ pagers each....

PS - It's just 80 bucks that I've to spend on these 7 timeless comics!
I'll try to scan-n-post these comics someday....:-)
Now, lemme enjoy these stuffs!
Till then,bye friends....:-)))
