Today enjoy some old and rare Bengali Indrajal covers...as some friend mentioned earlier,Bengali Indrajals have it's SPECIAL appeal with nice translations and very catchy titles, like for example, the #19(originally #41 - Veiled Lady) was titled "Obogunthita",which's quite catchy with....just loved these!! :))

Cheers.....(and well, during scanning I didn't choose any order, rather went randomly whatever I got in my hand and scanned those, started from Bengali Ijc #5 onwards)

Actually my this post neither on Netaji's BD(23rd) nor on RPD(26th) but just in between!! :)
Yes,I'll try to keep pace provided my time and scanner permit me...

By d way,u r right, foriengers(& NRIs) sometimes wonder with the number-of-festival/specials days in India....but that's obvious due to being "secular" country,we have to follow all cast's holidays/special days etc

Wht lovely typographics for all those titles... IJC guys especially the cover artists, really did wonders with these designs, for sure.

Thanks for sharing, MaNdrAke dudE :)

PBC bro, not all dudes get all days holidays in India... It's only for the exclusive govt. employees and public sector ones.. for the private org creeps like me, there are only 10 declared holidays any year :(

So you can rest easy, my friend ;)

@MaNdrAke dudE: About foreigners (who are by birth, or/and children of first or later generation Indian who who migrated) I can understand, but your view about NRI or first generation migrated Indian (now citizen of other countries)I can't accept. It'd like forgetting mother tongue, brother.

Post as much you can. More you post,I'm more happier. I forget to mention about Netaji. :))

In fact I'm waiting discussion topics from you, about which you told several months ago.

@Rafiq Raja: Brother, I'm also from private sector, can understand you. Even having a official holiday, I had to work. :))

sorry but I cudn't understand when I said anything agaist to NRIs??I meant when u away from India for some 2-3 decades, which's indeed quite a time, you'll bound to habituated in that foreign country's culture and sometimes wonder why so much holidays are around here,in this fast world??

WHERE & (MOST IMPORTANTLY) WITH WHOM?? I repeat,I am VERY MUCH IN for discussions BUT WITH WHICH fans??? with those who are still after for childish "places" in comment section rather commenting over the story they got??? They NEVER EVER utter a single word about those 800-900 Books they got, even though months and years have been passed and so-called excuse of "not find 'nuff time to read" not stand!!!

BUT I Just can't blame them as ALL can't be "hugely passionate" like me or you or those Phantom Phorum's 20 odd active members.
These downloaders might be just casual collectors, mere like to collect and occasional reading only....
Anyway,To each is his own:)

SO,IN SHORT,GIMME A PROPER PLACE AND SOME(2-3 min.)interested fans and I'm a game!! :))
But I just can't anymore give a re-view/my liking sort of thing AND see visitors ended up telling me "your write up is very nice/that was a good story etc".HOPE u understdnd and pardon me for this loong comment!! :-))

@Walker:Thanks and you r welcome.Yes, "Obogunthita" IS my most favorite among earliest Indrajals, and besides the great story, it's about that very attractive painted cover by Mr.Govind...I HAVE "TARGETED" that copy since 2007 when I first saw it's cover in english on TCP and finally got in last year in mint condition!! :)

as I told u,much more vintage covers are coming,so keep checking this blog-space!! :-)
